Refund Policy

Failed previews — automatic, instant
If a preview fails to generate for any reason, the credit it consumed is returned automatically — no need to contact anyone. You only ever pay for previews you actually receive.
Unused credit packs — 14 days
Bought a pack and haven't used any of its credits? Request a full refund within 14 days of purchase and we'll grant it, no questions asked. If a pack is partially used, we'll refund the unused portion at the pack's per-credit rate, at our discretion.
What isn't refundable
Credits already spent on delivered previews. Previews are AI-generated approximations — real paint can look different in your lighting (see our Terms), so "the color looked different on my wall" isn't a refund basis. That said, if a preview was garbled, clearly wrong, or otherwise broken, write to us — we'll usually return the credit.
How to request a refund
Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Either use the refund link in your Paddle email receipt, or email elson@thebytequill.com with the receipt — we respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country (for example in the EU and UK), which apply in addition to this policy.
